It’s July 2025 and I’m sitting here with a steaming mug of hot chocolate – unable to see my beloved Table Mountain while the Cape of Storms assault my windows. With it, I’m feeling the weight of the world.

Keeping us up at night are the questionable actions of global leaders, talks of WWIII and whispers of global economic collapse. All happening amid warnings of destructive solar flares and the shameful allowance of the continuation of the racist “kill the farmer – kill the boer” chant. Heavy, isn’t it?

Yet, here we are, spiritual authors, called to write light in this Universal Year 9 (2+0+2+5=9) – a time of endings, transformation and stepping up to serve. It’s messy, but it’s also our moment to shine. So this month I wish to share some hope and tips to keep your spark alive while navigating this wild, crumbling 3D world.

In numerology, a 9 year is like the universe hitting the reset button. It’s about letting go of old cycles and planting seeds for what’s next. Right now, the world’s screaming for change; wars are displacing millions, economies wobble with layoffs and inflation and polarization are tearing communities apart.

The International Rescue Committee’s 2025 Emergency Watchlist points to crises in Syria, Myanmar and beyond, with disaster costs hitting $2.3 trillion a year when you factor in ecosystems. It’s a lot.

But as spiritual authors, we’re not just watching this storm, we’re here to guide people through it! Our words can be a lighthouse, offering hope when most headlines feel like a punch to the gut.

This 9 year is clearing space for something new. Economic struggles and global unrest aren’t just problems, they’re invitations to rethink what matters. Your writing can show readers how to find meaning in the mess, whether it’s through meditation or practical spirituality. Let go of old dreams like landing a big publisher and embrace new paths like self-publishing or Substack.

2. Your Voice Is a Lifeline

People are scared. Job losses and talk of solar flares or WWIII have us all on edge. Your spiritual insights, whether on mindfulness or cosmic connection, are medicine. Even a small audience matters. One reader finding peace in your words can change their world and that’s enough to let them radiate and affect those close to them.

Forget chasing trends or algorithms. Readers in 2025 want real. With fake news networks and trust in institutions crumbling, your honest voice – struggles and breakthroughs – connects deeply. Staying ‘in the zone’ and writing in this crazy world can truly shake you. I was raised in a home with very open-minded parents where psychic abilities were never frowned upon. My own spiritual journey has been long, intense and started long before my writing career. I’ve invested a lot of time and energy into maintaining my more spiritual ***websites and today I’m grateful for the work I’ve put in. Not only have I found out what really mattered but it also prepared my thick skin – the one needed when attempting to be a successful author in this 3D world.

If , however, you’re newly awakened, brand new to this spiritual journey or just trying to find your own rhythm and balance, here’s my basic suggestions for you to keep your soul centered and intuition on point:

  • News Breaks: I used to be a news junkie! I advise you limit war and economy updates to once a day. It protects your creative energy.
  • Nature Fix: A walk by the river or in nature will recharge you. A wonderful, natural connection time with the divine. Do it. See it. Believe it!
  • Affirm Your Why: I say: “Your passion is your purpose”. It reminds me why I write – especially on tough days. I may not know the plan the Divine has in mind for my books but I’ll keep at it – regardless. Besides, when you do what you love every day, you’ll never work a day in your life (thank you Confucius!)

The Sacred Call

I’ve had days when I doubted my writing, wondering if it matters in this chaos. Then I get a message from a reader saying my words helped them understand a matter they, fearing ridicule, were too scared to ask out loud on social media.

Well, that’s why we do this! To enlighten, to entertain, to lead and show the way to a reality where everyone is loved, accepted and have enough of everything. Just like The Hermit in tarot… Coincidence? I think not! Did you know The Hermit is numbered IX (9) in the tarot’s Major Arcana. It’s the ninth trump card in most traditional tarot decks and is associated with themes of introspection, completion, and wisdom. So, share your light!
